We are a community carried across oceans not to preserve our culture behind glass, but to live it, share it, and pass it forward with joy.
Home is more than a place. It is a language heard across a crowded room, a song remembered from childhood, and the comfort of people who understand where you come from.
OSA was established in 1969 by visionary Odiyas who wanted to preserve and share their identity in North America. Incorporated in 1981 as a nonprofit, it has grown into a network of chapters serving communities across the United States and Canada.
OSA-Cal carries that spirit across California. We create spaces where newcomers find friends, children discover their heritage, elders share their wisdom, and every member can serve something larger than themselves.
OSA-Cal is where Odia identity meets California possibility: open, generous, intergenerational, and always evolving.
Festivals, music, dance, literature, food, and traditions become living experiences that everyone can participate in.
We bring together elders, families, young professionals, and children so knowledge and belonging flow in both directions.
Volunteers turn shared values into action through community care, mentoring, partnerships, and opportunities to contribute.
Odiyas organize to build connection across North America.
